One of the TenClub Curious, Simon Mulder, is fascinated by Futurist and Dadaist poetry, artforms from the start of the 20th century. “What fascinates me about this period is that young artists had to invent new ways of expression. After the First World War traditional arts were not able to express the new situation in society. So revolutionary artists protested against tradition with art full of energy, violence and disorder. This style interests me because it’s outside of my usual performance framework and I think nowadays society also desires to move into new directions.”
