How do you experience in your life?
My fascination is to explore how it is to be human, says Curious Kees van Dongen. How do we experience meaning in life? Many of us, at some point in our life, may feel something is missing. We may feel unfulfilled. Unsure of where to look, we often seek an “escape” through endless and undertakings in the pursuit of success, power or happiness. Somehow we seem to be captured in a hedonic treadmill.
Pleasure and pain comes and goes. Might the pursuit of meaning be something more stable to hold on to? Tonight we investigate six sources of meaning. In short they are: belonging, purpose, storytelling, transcendence, significance and becoming. We take time to reflect on how these sources are experienced in our own lives. We open up and share our personal experiences. In this way we get to know ourselves and each other.
