The Soul Church is led by 11 time Grammy winning musician/artist/arranger for Prince & the New Power Generation Philip Lassiter. The aim of Soul Church is to build a community of high level musicianship & positivity.

Being a funky drummer is one thing. With an approach to drumming that is always incredibly inventive and fresh, James Williams travels way beyond this concept. James has formerly played with Gary Burton, Burt Bacharach, George Duke, Patrice Rushen, Wynton Marsalis and Talib Kweli.
On bass guitar tonight is Nathaniel Klumperbeek, a player with a great feel for anything Brazilian , samba, afro and funk.
Josephine Marie draws everyone’s attention as soon as she starts singing. With a voice and a narrative so strong, believing what she proclaims is all there’s left to do.
Guitarist Richie Reichgelt is funkier than a mosquito’s tweeter, as Nina Simone – who once resided in his hometown Nijmegen – would have said.
This edition of The Soul Church sees the return of the extraordinarily talented Jordy Kalfsvel on keyboard. Having played London’s Ronnie Scott’s, North Sea Jazz and Blue Note in Tokyo, Jordy hits the keys flawlessly.
The Soul Church wouldn’t be what it now is without the creative direction of Philip Lassiter, playing trumpet and keys tonight.
