Vandaag vieren we Hartjesdag! Een Amsterdams volksfeest met middeleeuwse roots, hét carnaval van de stad. Traditiegetrouw verruilen mannen hun outfit voor die van vrouwen, en andersom. Dus: trek je meest flamboyante cross-gender look uit de kast! We kleden ons om op Nes 116 en trekken daarna in optocht naat cafe ’t Mandje op de Zeedijk. Express yourself, louder, prouder & with glitter!
Let op: bij minder dan 8 aanmeldingen gaat een avond helaas niet door, dus tip vooral je mede-Curious en introducees zijn ook welkom. Hoe meer zielen, hoe meer vreugd!

Today we celebrate Hartjesdag! An Amsterdam folk festival with medieval roots, the city’s own carnival. Traditionally, men dress as women and vice versa. So pull out your most flamboyant cross-gender outfit! We’ll get ready at Nes 116 and parade together to Café ’t Mandje on the Zeedijk. Express yourself, louder, prouder, and with glitter!
Please note: if fewer than 8 people sign up, the evening unfortunately won’t take place. So be sure to spread the word to your fellow Curious members and guests are also welcome. The more, the merrier!
