Culture Cocktail | It’s All Greek to Me!

Thanos Milas is a young, Greek musician and singer. He was born in Karystos in 2002 and he is currently a student in the department of music studies at the school of philosophy of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. He is very interested in the traditional and folk Greek music, he plays the guitar and the bouzouki and he will soon release his first personal album.

Demis Lossifidis is born and raised in The Netherlands, as a son of Greek parents he was influenced by Greek music from a very young age. He started guitar lessons on his 5th birthday and learned bouzouki and singing later on. Throughout the years Demis has collaborated both on stage and in studios with various artists both within Greece and abroad. He has also played with various classical orchestras, Balkan bands and Turkish ensembles both as a singer and a bouzouki player.

Together the two will perform at Tenclub for a unique evening full of authentic Greek melodies: from the Greek blues of the 1920s to the folk music of the 60s and 70s – brought with the fresh energy of the new generation!
