The Poetry Brothel presents The Rites of Spring: A Pagan Gala

Event details

The Poetry Brothel is an immersive literary cabaret nightclub where jazz musicians, burlesque dancers, tarot readers and other vagabonds mingle and perform, but poetry holds centre stage. Poets are available for private readings.

The Poetry Brothel presents the Rites of Spring: A Pagan Gala

Following an unforgettably intoxicating and seductive show last November, TenClub’s Poetry Brothel proudly presents a celebration of the rites associated with spring. Emerging from a fast and bursting with fertility, we will be feasting on March 23rd as the earth awakens! Join us in shaking off last winter’s cobwebs as we bring ourselves back into the warmer environs of a Pagan Gala!

The program

Take your favourite poets up to the lavishly decorated secluded places of our Mayer Manor for a seductive reading of wisdom with energy enhancing powers that will last you a lifetime . This edition’s verse makers are inspired by Roman spring rites for the goddesses of flowers and poetry, forgotten Celtic prophecies. Brace yourself as ancient wizards and priestesses whisper their runic Germanic secrets into your ear as they magically bubble up from their unfathomable unconscious.

Of course, this poetry brothel will not lack springtime musical offerings and a daring vernal stage act!
