Brand new this year is our Érard Student Series, a talent program associated with our regular Érard Grand Piano Series. For the series, conservatory students from five different countries present their very own world premiere where piano music is always combined with another artform such as poetry, cinema, photography or dance.
At TenClub we believe that piano concerts are among the most magical musical experiences to be had in life. That’s why a few years back, we decided to dedicate a series to our 1892 Érard Grand piano. Artem Belogurov, Ksenia Kouzmenko, Klára Würtz and many others have already performed in our acclaimed Érard Grand Piano Series in the unique and intimate atmosphere of our fin-de-siècle salon.
We are also of the view that growth in musicianship is a fascinating journey and it is one that we would like to get involved in. It is for this reason that we have invited eight excellent conservatory students of piano from all over the world to curate a program especially for the Érard at Nes 120, next door to the Mayer Manor. Curators of the series are senior classical piano teacher at the Utrecht Conservatory Henry Kelder and TenClub’s artistic leader and pianist Bas van Lier.
Curious, music minded people of Amsterdam and beyond, please feel most welcome to attend the concerts in our brand new Érard Student Series.
About Alexandra Kaptein
Alexandra Kaptein (born 1999) – started piano lessons at the age of five and won her first prize in the Jugend Musiziert piano competition in Germany at the age of six. In 2019, Kaptein won the Italian Silvio Bengalli prize. The following year, Alexandra graduated cum laude from the ArtEZ Conservatory in Zwolle and in June 2023 with an excellent rating from the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. Alexandra is vice president of the Franz Liszt Society in the Netherlands and recorded transcriptions of Liszt in her debut CD.

Geheel nieuw dit jaar is onze Érard Student Series, een talentenprogramma dat gekoppeld is aan onze reguliere Érard Grand Piano Series. Voor de serie presenteren conservatoriumstudenten uit vijf verschillende landen hun eigen wereldpremière waarbij pianomuziek altijd wordt gecombineerd met een andere kunstvorm zoals poëzie, film, fotografie of dans.
Bij TenClub geloven we dat pianoconcerten tot de meest magische muzikale ervaringen in het leven behoren. Daarom hebben we in 2022 besloten een serie te wijden aan onze Nieuwsgierige, muziekminnende Amsterdammers en andere geïnteresseerden zijn van harte welkom om de concerten in onze gloednieuwe Érard Student Series bij te wonen. Érardvleugel uit 1892. Artem Belogurov, Ksenia Kouzmenko, Klára Würtz en vele anderen hebben al opgetreden als onderdeel van onze veelgeprezen en unieke Érard Grand Piano Series.
We zijn van mening dat artistieke groei een fascinerende reis is waar we graag bij betrokken willen zijn. Daarom hebben we acht uitstekende conservatoriumstudenten piano van over de hele wereld uitgenodigd om speciaal voor de Érard een programma samen te stellen in Nes 120, naast het Mayer Manor. Curatoren van de serie zijn hoofddocent klassiek piano aan het Utrechts Conservatorium Henry Kelder en TenClub’s artistiek leider Bas van Lier.
Nieuwsgierige, muziekminnende Amsterdammers en andere geïnteresseerden zijn van harte welkom om de concerten in onze gloednieuwe Érard Student Series bij te wonen.
Over Alexandra Kaptein
Alexandra Kaptein (1999) begon op 5-jarige leeftijd met pianolessen en won op zesjarige leeftijd al haar eerste prijs in het pianoconcours Jugend Musiziert in Duitsland. Later won Kaptein onder andere in 2019 de Italiaanse Silvio Bengalli prijs. In 2020 studeerde Alexandra cum laude af aan het ArtEZ Conservatorium in Zwolle en in juni 2023 met een uitstekende beoordeling van het Conservatorium van Amsterdam. Alexandra is vicepresident van de Franz Liszt Vereniging in Nederland en nam in haar debuut CD op met transcripties van Liszt.
