Stand up comedian Maeva Dolle – performing this Saturday at the Culture Cocktail – is fluent in neither French nor Dutch, but compensates by simply trying too hard with everything. Her comedy delves into awkward female experiences which will make you go: Did she really just say that? Her comedy has been described as “really friendly” as well as “foul mouthed” so if you are looking for range, here it is.
The singer-songwriter music of Italian artist Francesca Paola – featuring timeless harmonies and warm vocals – will bring back memories of Florence + The Machine and Chris Isaak. Her debut single Dream Thieves is an anthem of resilience and the pursuit of dreams.
