TenClub’s Hotclub de Franz proudly presents: Oktoberfest for Dandies
Oktoberfest: it’s that one unticked box you just don’t want to tick, because getting wasted in a crowd of rowdy beer boys, that’s just not you.
But hold on: what exactly is it that we’re celebrating during Oktoberfest? It’s the anniversary of one of the most spectacular weddings in the history of European aristocratic society: the one between the great late Prince Ludwig of Bavaria and the gorgeous (also late) Therese Charlotte Luise of Saxony-Hildburghausen.
You’ve guessed it: TenClub does Oktoberfest slightly differently from everyone else. Join us for a one of a kind celebration of Oktoberfest, where you are invited to immerse yourself in the intriguing world of the 19th century nobility (who did enjoy the occasional jodeling session, just saying!).
TenClub’s Oktoberfest is an occasion custom-made for you, cabaret loving, rebellious bird of paradise! On October 5th, TenClub will become a Bavarian Ballroom that will be etched on your brain forever. Be prepared to indulge in our delicious beers & food, negronis and passionately curated wine selection as you witness the craziest live acts amidst our unique and eclectic interior, surrounded by a sea of impeccably dressed individuals.
Dress Code
Please note that Hotclub de Franz is not a fancy dress party. Rather, you are invited to BE your character. You will not answer to your given name tonight, because you are now someone else. It follows that the dress code for the Oktoberfest edition of Hotclub de Franz is very strict.
Come as Prince Ludwig of Bavaria or Therese Charlotte Luise of Saxony-Hildburghausen or one of their many friends or family members. Please do your research properly, we will not accept cheaters in this game! Don’t take this task lightly as casually dressed nightclubbers will be refused entrance.
Line-up
Chansonnier extraordinaire La Dietrich, your charming host throughout this Vergnüglicher Abend, will be accompanied by the talented Herr Erich, who will surprise you with an amazing Vaudeville-era performance that will leave your senses tingling!
Meet dance instructor Samir, who will teach you the traditional German Schuhplattler Tanzer, in the delightful company of excellent pianist and accordionist Ringo Maurer.
Let Gaby Coburg take control of your voice as she teaches her excellent yodelling workshop. Don’t miss this opportunity to learn this unique singing style!
Enchanting opera singer Victoria Valentien is known to mesmerise her audiences with a voice as smooth as satin and a repertoire of artful vocal anthems from the Pruissian Empire.
Having performed in the most glamorous palaces of illustrious capital cities like Istanbul, Parjs and Algiers, Fay Loren is one of the most accomplised burlesque dancers of her time. You – dear member of the German gentry – are invited to witness her brand new performance, choreographed especially for Hotclub de Franz!
No-one less than the mysterious Herr Cünster Kelleren invites you to play the Schnapps Spaß Spiel! Keep an eye out for this master of booze if you love your German liquor from the old days.
