We leven in een tijd waarin de wereld verhardt. Democratie wankelt onder druk van rechts, dat de ontevredenheid uitbuit. Gemeenschapszin brokkelt af, menselijkheid raakt op de achtergrond, en liefde maakt plaats voor kilte.
Tegelijkertijd zien we overal mensen opstaan: voor vrouwenrechten, de LHBTIQ+ gemeenschap, het klimaat en in de strijd tegen armoede. Ondanks polarisatie blijft de wil om de wereld te verbeteren springlevend.
Charles Groenhuijsen prikkelt ons vanavond maart met stellingen en geeft de eerste aanzet tot een open debat, waarin we samen op zoek gaan naar antwoorden op de vraag: Hoe maken we samen een betere wereld?

Heart versus Hard
We live in a time where the world is becoming less empathetic. Democracy is wavering under the pressure of the right wing, which exploits feelings of dissatisfaction. Community spirit is crumbling, humanity is fading into the background, and kindness is being replaced by coldness.
At the same time, people everywhere are rising up: for women’s rights, LGBTQ+ equality, the climate and against poverty. Despite polarisation, the drive to make the world a better place remains strong.
During this evening, Charles Groenhuijsen will guide us through thought-provoking statements and an open debate as we search for answers to the question: How can we build a better world together?
